Documentary exploring the development of the early 1980s fashion movement instigated by young football supporters known as « casuals ». Charting how the movement, which relied heavily on designer sportswear, first emerged on the football terraces of Britain’s grounds, the film talks to those involved and explores the social impact and its global legacy today. Peter Hooton, Lead singer in the band “The Farm”, responsible for the football fan anthem “All Together Now” was also interviewed and is the film’s narrator. Football casuals across the UK joined forces to create the film which features original footage and rare images of the period.
In addition Casuals has screened at prestigious film festivals around the world and won Best Film at the 2012 Portobello Film Festival.
